Hamas, Israel and Iran

Today ground Israeli ground forces started marching on the Gaza strip.
Americans are hearing about it, but nobody really cares. I care.
The reason I care is because Iran is very very very anti Israel. And George Bush is very very pro Israel and very anti Iran. This is still in the embryonic stages, but I've said in the past that Bush really wants to go after Iran, and he's running out of time.
With Israel marching into Gaza, this will whip Iran into a frenzy. (click here to see what I mean). With Iran starting to roar, It will get involved on the Hamas side, and go after Israel. If Israel has some really unfortunate civilian casualties, that will be a P.R. coup for Iran to justify strong action against Israel.
And because the U.S. has (i believe rightfully) called Hamas a terrorist organization, and since the U.S. has declared war on terror, it will defend Israel against Hamas.  Iran doesn't have nukes, thank goodness, but neither did Iraq.  And look what we did saying that they 'might' get them someday.
Bush will pound his war drum saying that Iran must be stopped. What if a little nuke goes off before inauguration?  Bush calls for a postponing of the inauguration due to national security issues, and we have a hell of a mess.
If you frequent my other blog, I've said that I felt pretty certain that the U.S. would be in a conflict with Iran before Bush is out of power. These are the stepping stones.  I see it like this.  With every palestinian life lost, Hamas will vow ten Israelis in retribution.  With every ten Israeli lives lost, it will go after one hundred Hamas in retribution.  This thing is not going to end any time soon, and Iran and the U.S. are ready for any excuse to go after each other.
I wish they could move the inauguration date up, because with respect to Obama being sworn in, I'll believe it when I see it.

I've been watching the escalation and wondering about the other shoe dropping prior to the 1/20. Hope it does not happen. I agree with your assessment. A giant mess.

Israel could whoop Iran without our help.

Iran was always strong on words but I think they know better than to start a front against Israel. Israel has never asked America to fight for it and I doubt it will now. A more realistic scenario is that in a week’s time a much more weakened Hamas will agree to a ceasefire until the next round...

Actually Gary, no President has the authority to delay the inauguration as you suggest. It is specified in the US Constitution (see Amendment 20 Section 1) which states:

"The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin."

I think Bush is stoked to be heading out the door. I can't imagine him creating more of a mess.

Hey do you read LaRouche's stuff on the economy?

War against Israel is inevitable; read Revelation.

Might as well use Bullfinch's Mythology for an economic reference text if that's your only standard.

Prophecy in fulfillment right before our eyes. Hamas, Iran and others want to eradicate Israel from the face of the earth which is what the bible said over 1,000 years ago would happen..more proof of the accuracy of biblical prophecy.

"more proof of the accuracy of biblical prophecy."

hahahaha.

Weren't some other things supposed to happen first?

Oh wait, you just change your interpretation to match what you observe.

Prophecy my ass.

There was no Hamas in the Bible, or Iran, for that matter.

Delusional christianists.

You know, in MY spiritual texts it says that human beings evolved and that the laws of physics apply across the universe. I bet I have more evidence for mine than in all of your silly torture-porn-filled aramaic fantasy books.

Isaiah 13:17 (New International Version)

17 See, I will stir up against them the Medes,
who do not care for silver
and have no delight in gold.

haha, Gary is safe.

Daniel 11

1 And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I took my stand to support and protect him.)
The Kings of the South and the North
2 "Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece. 3 Then a mighty king will appear, who will rule with great power and do as he pleases. 4 After he has appeared, his empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted and given to others.

--------

So much for a big fat greek wedding.

27 I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for several days. Then I got up and went about the king's business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

Maybe you should take Daniel's advice. Nothing to see here. Move along.

If it all started because Hamas sent rockets over to Israel, breaking a cease-fire. Even though, someone wrote that those rockets have no great effect - why do they continue sending them?

Why is sending those rockets by Hamas not an issue? Seems that the view is one-sided.

I do not condone Israel for using disproportionate force and killing civilians. However, why is not the population doing something to stop Hamas who openly say that they will do whatever it takes to destroy Israel, with the consequences we know with Israel's reaction?

If the strategy is to gain Arab sympathy and draw Iran, Syria, Egypt into a war against Israel, and the US...er...I mean the "coalition forces", to play in the hands of the Hamas, then, it makes sense.

Would it not cost less for the arab countries to let Hamas know that their strategy will get them nowhere, and that peace with Israel is the only option?

PROPHECIES: The comments about the prophecies being fulfilled...one sees what one wants to see in the land of the delusional mind.

There is probably more accuracy in daily horoscopes, than so-called prophecies, which are usually tagged to "something" that comes close enough to what was vaguely said.

Nostradamus has probably a better hit factor - after the fact - than Bible prophecies.

Think about it...prophecy enthusiasts... If the prophecies come true (if they did not occur already some time in the past) - OR if it means a totally different thing at a different level of consciousness, it will be through tremendous physical death, blood, suffering, pestilence, or whatever.

The God who supposedly created us, with all his might, would create us to destroy us that way like some kind of video game? Who are you kidding? Are you so blood thirsty to want this?

Would you not want to pray and ask God's forgiveness, and negotiate for another way to get to the same place? Does God not answer prayers? Well...why not the one about changing the supposed process to get to the same outcome? God never changed his mind? He did many times in the Bible. Why not for this?

Read Revelations, or any account of the crucifixion.

They adore the gore.
